Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of VocaRise at vocarise.com and related products and services operated by Careerlinkk Digital Ventures Limited (“Careerlinkk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Nigeria under RC 9652318.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, posting a job, applying to a role, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use VocaRise.

If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under the laws of Nigeria (or your place of residence, if stricter) to use VocaRise. Certain features may be limited by role, verification status, or subscription.

Accounts

  • Provide accurate, current registration information and keep it updated
  • Keep your password confidential and do not share account access
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us promptly at legal@careerlinkk.com if you suspect unauthorized use
  • We may refuse, suspend, or reclaim usernames or accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law

Job seeker terms

If you use VocaRise as a job seeker, you agree that:

  • Profile information, résumés, and application materials you submit are accurate and belong to you (or you have rights to share them)
  • Applications you send may be shared with the relevant employer and used for hiring decisions
  • VocaRise does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes
  • You will not misrepresent credentials, work authorization, or identity
  • Saved jobs, recommendations, and alerts are provided for convenience and may change as listings update

Employer terms

If you use VocaRise as an employer or hiring partner, you agree that:

  • You are authorized to post jobs and review applications on behalf of the company named in your listing
  • Job descriptions will be accurate, non-discriminatory, and compliant with applicable employment and advertising laws
  • Candidate data obtained through the Platform will be used solely for legitimate hiring purposes and protected under the NDPA/NDPR and your own privacy notices
  • You will not sell, scrape, or misuse candidate data outside the hiring workflow
  • You remain solely responsible for interview decisions, offers, contracts, and employment terms

Job listings and content

Employers control the content of their listings. Careerlinkk may review, refuse, edit, or remove listings that appear misleading, unlawful, spam-like, discriminatory, or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms or our community standards — without liability to you.

Featured placement, search ranking, and discovery features may depend on relevance, freshness, plan tier, and Platform algorithms, which we may update from time to time.

Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
  • Post fraudulent jobs, phishing content, or malware
  • Harass, discriminate against, or exploit other users
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data without our written permission
  • Circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use the Platform to spam, advertise unrelated products, or sell personal data
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with the Platform except where such restriction is prohibited by law

Intellectual property

VocaRise, including its branding, software, design, and documentation, is owned by Careerlinkk Digital Ventures Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform as intended under these Terms.

You retain ownership of content you submit (profiles, listings, résumés). You grant Careerlinkk a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Platform. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.

Payments and subscriptions

Some employer features require paid plans. Prices, billing cycles, and included features are shown at purchase or in your employer dashboard. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.

  • You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide
  • Taxes may apply based on your location
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of paid features
  • We may change pricing with notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods

Invoices, where applicable, are issued by Careerlinkk Digital Ventures Limited (RC 9652318).

Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Careerlinkk Digital Ventures Limited disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not control employer or seeker conduct, the accuracy of user-submitted content, or hiring outcomes. Any agreement between a seeker and an employer is solely between those parties.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Careerlinkk Digital Ventures Limited and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Platform.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for VocaRise in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) fifty thousand Nigerian Naira (₦50,000), except where liability cannot be limited by law (including fraud or willful misconduct).

Termination

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Platform.

Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Lagos State, Nigeria, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
